Bay Players Club was a 10-piece band designed for special events such as weddings, corporate parties, birthdays, fundraisers and other premier showcases.  The band was incredibly versatile and featured an incredible FAT sound!  The players are some of Tampa Bay's top talent too...great band!

Entourage 7pc Event Band.  Spent a very short time with this one.

Nine Miles Out focused on dance and '80s hits for gulf coast gigs covering New Port Richey to Siesta Key.  Most memorable moment?  During a load out in Siesta Key, finding a hot chick passed out on the hood of my SUV!  Why didn't I have this kind of luck as a teenager?  THANK YOU GOD!

This was my first serious band after returning to Florida.  As far as I know, Janie Richard's  Motel Funk is still going.  I shared the stage with her for well over a year, funking it up at wedding and corporate events, not to mention some of the world's most smoky beach bars.  Fantastic musicians with an awesome sense of humor!  I also carried out much of the graphics and web work during my run, focusing on old motel signage.  Florida has no shortage of marquee inspiration!

Ripping through a number on top of Level 3 in Ybor City with hard rock band, El Camino.
No mics required!

The Blind Venetians!  Funk, Blues, and pub favs.  Somewhere around Atlanta with Bradford Rogers (left), Stan Robertson (right), Billy Wilke and Nick Longo.  c2001-ish

Ah -- a dewy late morning on the campus of Gainesville State College circa 1999.  I performed Derek Worth's Anonymous Groove at numerous wedding and corporate events around north Georgia between 1998 and 2000.  Good times!

Had to post this Gainesville Times from same show.  Those three lovelies just over my arm?  None other than Stephanie Palmer, Regina Thomas and Andrea Hooker (former Die A Tribe vocalist).

Die A Tribe ran from early 1992 to around the middle of 1999.  We were in the middle of our second album when the breakup happened.  Ah, but a complete surprise occurred in 2010 when the master tapes to the original Albatross and Sabbatical recordings surfaced.  This led to a remixed / remastered Albatross and the recovery of some Sabbatical tracks.  Both sessions have since been converted to work with digital workstations, and there is hope that someday that both recording projects may see some light.  You can catch a taste of that music on the Audio page.

Captain Luther Howdy and the Prozac Cowboys was as much about comedy as it was the music. Honestly, we were just a bunch of guys that didn't care what we played as long as there were scores of hot chicks dancing there asses off in front of us. And if those chicks were there, the guys would be right behind. That was our philosophy, and it worked!  This band played anything. We would tackle the hardest ballads, play two hour sets of non-stop disco, or a complete show doing nothing but 30-second TV show themes...yes, Gilligan's Island to Welcome Back Kotter. At any moment you could hear Murder by Numbers from the Police or Why Does It Hurt When I Pee from Frank Zappa. Nothing was out of bounds and I think that was the appeal.  Audiences never knew what to expect, except that they'd have a great time.
Pictured are Capt. Luther (Scott Adams), Rev. Screamin' Dave (David Currans), Johnny Potatosalad (Ted Tuck), and yours truly, Buck Naked.

Working the original console at the Cantina around summer '94.  Before switching to a Mackie 32.8 and 24 tracks of ADAT, the Cantina sported 16 tracks of analog tape and an Allen & Heath tweaker.  Nifty far-fields, eh?

Met Allan Holdsworth at Winter NAMM '96 in Anaheim, CA.  That's one of the perks of the music retail business; you meet everyone there sooner or later.  A few years later, our group ran into Allan again in Nashville and sat at the bar for a beer.  Great company!
